Point Pleasant is one of the many beach towns along the Jersey Shore that has a rich history behind it. The place witnessed the first oncoming of the Quaker settlers in the mid 1700s. After that, in the 19th century, farmers from all over the town began to rent out their homes to visitors making Point Pleasant one of the Jersey Shore’s oldest resorts.
