Sandy Hook Vacation Rentals

Sandy Hook was discovered by the sea captain Henry Hudson in the earlier part of the 17th century. It is one of the most beautiful shore towns with a total area of 1665 acres and is clearly visible from the Manhattan mainland. With a seven mile stretch of pristine beaches, Sandy Hook has a variety of recreational activities to offer its vacationers. Although the summer months tend to bring larger crowds, the vacationers choosing a rental property in Sandy Hook still take advantage of the great summer activities such as fishing, swimming and relaxing on the beach.

Many people would be surprised to know that there is no commercial community of Sandy Hook. It is basically a National Park that houses a military base and a historic lighthouse. As a result, there are quite a few Sandy Hook rentals to stay in. It is recommended that people planning to visit Sandy Hook should stay in Highlands, which is located on the adjacent hill facing the bay. Highlands has a lot of rentals available in different levels of rates for everyone to suit their taste and budget.

Sandy Hook remains one of the most popular Jersey Shore towns for many vacationers traveling from New York City mainly because of the short 40-minute ferry ride to this beautiful shore resort. Tourists visiting Sandy Hook generally enjoy the day at the beach before having a leisurely dinner at one of the famous restaurants located in Highlands. We recommend visiting Sandy Hook during the summer season usually from June to October.
